Born From a Need to Be Heard
The Indigenous Writers Hub was founded with a simple yet powerful purpose: to create space for stories to be told in Indigenous languages.
Across many communities, important stories, knowledge systems, and lived experiences often remain undocumented or inaccessible because they are not shared in the languages people use in their everyday lives.
We are building a community of writers, journalists, translators, and storytellers who are passionate about amplifying Indigenous voices. Through mentorship, publishing platforms, and collaborative storytelling initiatives, we aim to ensure that Indigenous languages remain vibrant tools for knowledge sharing, cultural preservation, and community empowerment.
We believe that language is power. When communities can tell their stories in their own languages, knowledge becomes more accessible, cultures are preserved, and voices that are often marginalised can meaningfully shape the conversations that affect their lives.
